Vienna weekend getaway - stroll through the city

On Saturday morning we got up early and headed towards the city centre. It was a ten minute walk since our hotel was located about 1,2 km away from the Steffl. I think I've been never so glad in my life that I packed my gloves and earmuffs. It was bitterly cold and the freezing west wind made us literally cry.
Come along on our stroll through the city.

 {the Danube}

{old apothecary}

 {window shopping - told you we got up early and everything was still closed}

 {Diesel}

 {I love bassets.}

 {Adventskalender at Demel}

{Hofburg}

 {Viennese state library}

 {We had breakfast at Cafe Tirolerhof}

 {Einspänner}

{really small confectionery}

 {Exhibition at Albertina >>Emperor Maximilian I and the Age of Dürer<< - Since I was born near Nuremberg and adore Albrecht Dürer I just had to pay it a visit!}

 {managed to take a few pictures}

 {view down from the museum}

 {more chocolate, I begin to spot a pattern ...}

 {Christmas tree cupcake with pistachio flavour from Gerstner K&K Bakery}

 {I wasn't really sure were to find it since my last visit has been some time ago but I found it!}

 {Fought for it with my life! If I had fainted I wouldn't have had a chance to fall so packed was the little shop!}

 {Look closely at the windows!}

 {Hint on which exhibition I also saw. He's called "Mr. Big".}

I haven't bored you to death yet? Good! I still have a few [read: many] picures to show you!

Have a good day!
