Wishlist #2

As I really like reading these kind of posts on other people's blogs, I decided to do my own one. I'm moving places very soon and therefore I don't have any ambitions to add large, bulky items to my belongings.

1. Essie A Cut Above

I don't know why, but I cannot find a place to buy this. Of course I could order it from the U.S., but at the moment I'm not willing to pay more than the price of this polish for shipping and taxes. No way.

2. Prada Galleria Bolso Grande in Black

I like to think of my bags as an investment, although I really need to touch it and see it in person before I'll buy it. I haven't figured out how to manage that, but it's work in progress.

3. Ashes to Ashes Complete Series 1-3

As you may have read, I loved Life on Mars and this series kind of continues the story with many characters recurring.

4. Chanel No. 5 Eau Première

I don't like the original Chanel No. 5 but this scent is very nice and not so in-your-face.

5. Light grey Fendi scarf

As there is currently only one left, I should make up my mind about this one very soon. Decisions!

What's on your current wishlist? Do you 'do' wishlists?

Have a nice afternoon! Thanks for reading!

WTW #4 Life on Mars

Life on Mars is another of those brilliant British series. I don't know what I am more in love with, the dialogues or the music. I cannot decide, but apparently for me it's a combination of both. The series consists of two seasons and every season has eight episodes.

After a traumatic brain injury due to a car accident in 2006 DCI Sam Tyler awakes in Manchester in 1973.
There is a quote from Sam Tyler (John Simm) at the beginning of every episode. "My name is Sam Tyler. I had an accident, and I woke up in 1973. Am I mad, in a coma, or back in time? Whatever's happened, it's like I've landed on a different planet. Now, maybe if I can work out the reason, I can get home." (source)
This quote sums the series up very nicely. Sam Tyler was trained in the 21st century, Gene Hunt was not, surprisingly tension is bound to occur. :)

The theme song is David Bowie's 'Life on Mars'.

You'll also recognize Elton John's 'Rocketman', Mungo Jerry's 'In the Summertime', or Uriah Heeps 'Traveller in Time'. That brings me to the thought, I really need to look up the soundtrack.

To be honest, I was very sad to get to know that there won't be a third series. BUT they did kind of a sequel called 'Ashes to Ashes'.

Have a nice weekend and relax!

WTW #3 Sherlock

There are only two possibilites to explain the fact that you are not familiar with the new BBC series Sherlock. Either you've been hiding in a cave or - no, I stand corrected, that's the only possibillity and there are no excuses. It's brilliant and I'm currently waiting for season 3 to be filmed - I cannot wait to see the next episode! Perhaps I should have started by telling you Sherlock is a short series with so far two seasons, consisting of three episodes each.

Please meet Benedict Cumberbatch as Sherlock Holmes and Martin Freeman in the role of Dr. John Watson! These two are brilliant together and have such great energy, it's absolutely hilarious to watch them solve their cases. Those cases are based on the ones by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle but transferred to the 21st century, including iphones, eyes in the fridge and Watson's online blog.

Both seasons end with a cliffhanger which is another reason I cannot wait for Sherlock to continue. In the meantime here are some pictures! Woot!

Andrew Scott (Jim Moriarty) - source

Has anybody of you seen Sherlock so far? How did you like it? Tell me, please!

I'll close my rambling with a tumblr image of exactly how I feel after the last episode of season two 'The Reichenbach Fall', so very sad!

On a sidenote, did you hear there is going to be an American remake of Sherlock Holmes called 'Elementary' with Lucy Liu as Joan Watson? I have very, extremely mixed feelings about that.

Have a great weekend and watch Sherlock!
