Hello again

Well, hello again! *waves hand* Welcome to my first post of 2012! I made quite a few resolutions which I am not going to mention in detail but all in all I don't think they are very different from anybody else's. To sum it up: I want to live more consciously. I discovered Bea Johnson's The Zero Waste Home Blog back in November and I'm still fascinated with it. I'll try to incorporate some of her principles in my life. My first step is to think about everything I intend to buy, whether it's clothes, cosmetics, DVDs ... and the second is to downsize the amount of stuff I own. I'm definitely not a messy person but come to think about it, I could live with less. It's not like I'm going on some bizarre kind of spending ban since I think such intentions are rubbish and don't cope with the problem per se. I reached a point where I think that time is most valuable and I'll try to behave according to that.

Nevertheless I'd like to share two things with you, one rediscovered from my archives of neverending beauty products and the other one newly bought.

Please meet Ligne St Barth's Avocado Oil Skin & Hair Care. I've had this for quite some time but never really appreciated it, don't ask me why, sometimes I just loose track. Two weeks ago I started to curl my hair with the BaByliss conical wand and surprisingly that left my hair really dry and dehydrated. The Avocado Oil is my saviour, I always put it in at least two hours before I wash my hair, often while jogging - yes, I don't care how I look when I'm running. This product is amazing. My hair is soft and hydrated and no longer frizzy because of dryness. Since I've started using this oil I feel less guilty of torturing my hair with heat! I cannot recommend it enough, although I neither can tell you where I bought it nor what it costed since I don't remember. My apologies.

The second product is the Kusmi Detox Tea. I bought the large can, of course. According to the website it's a "Blend of mate and Chinese green tea flavoured with lemon and lemongrass. The combination of the properties of mate and green tea creates a drink that is perfect for detoxifying and reinvigorating the body right throughout the day" I bought it since I liked its taste, as simple as that, oh, and the pretty packaging dind't hurt either.

Alright, I wish you all a lovely weekend! Relax and have some fun!
