Vienna weekend getaway - Sunday afternoon and tips

Welcome to my last post about my Vienna weekend getaway. It's a short one since we left town in the late afternoon and happened to get stuck in a snow storm on our way back. We needed 4,5 hours instead of 2 hours from the Austrian border to get home. Lovely.

 {some late shopping at Demel}

 {Christmas decorations by day}

 {Love their notebook covers. They're brilliant. Mine ist about two and a half years old now and still going strong. <3}

 {I would have bought a pencil case but sadly the shops are closed on Sundays in Vienna.}

 {Christmas always comes so unexpectedly.}

 {Beautiful shop. We found it by accident. The owner is so sweet and really hearty.}

 {These little acorns are magnetic. It's fantastic. We bought it on Saturday evening after our trip to the MQ Christmas market.
On the box it says: "The little squirrel loves to keep things to himself. He picks up the acorn around him and sits on them. Let him take care of your magnet for you, like he he takes care of his own acorn."}

 {Sooo cute, do you see the squirrels?}

 {Christmas macarons}

{on our way back}

Hopefully, when you read this, I'll be back safe and sound from Edinburgh.
Have a fantastic weekend!

Douglas Box of Beauty December 2012

The lovely people of Douglas promised to make the December box a very special one with lots of surprises. Well, they really did. I knew nothing about the box beforehand but I have to admit I like it very much indeed!

I'm going to open approximately ten to fifteen doors of my Adventskalender now and stuff myself with Niederegger marzipan. I think there is somewhere a bottle of hot wine punch left, too. Good times.

Dermalogica Glossy Box

I don't know exactly when I received the news that the people of Glossy Box would release a special edition box with Dermalogica products but I can remember that I was hooked from the very first moment. It's not easy to get a grip on these products here in Germany and I've only read on blogs about them so far. As from now that is going to change. I ordered the box and it arrived sometime last week. I really hope they'll live up to their reputation since I paid EUR 25 for this box. *le sigh* I haven't tried any products yet but I thought I could give you a short rundown of the content.

 {Hmm, I think it would be rather pointless to write the products down with including this photo. Please help yourself!}

So, I gotta run. Christmas time is supposed to be quiet and relaxing and I always end up rushing around and not being able to catch a breath. Wew. Not good.
I'm still out of Germany but here's a clue were I am. :) Yes, I dind't say it would be hard to guess.
Have a good week!

Vienna weekend getaway - Nude Men at the Leopold

As promised here comes my extremely picure heavy post about the Nude Men at the Leopold exhibition. If you don't want to see naked men, well, don't read this post, it will most likely offend you. :)

After a luxurious breakfast at Cafe Landtmann we made our way to the Leopold Museum. As much as Saturday was cold and sulky, Sunday was bright and sunny - and even colder. You cannot simply have everything you want.

{Same view as shown in this picture from my last post, only difference is the sun.}

Hey A! If you're reading, this one's for you! <3

{Yes, yes, we're getting closer.}

{TADAA !!!}

 {Do you see the connection to the picture above?}

 {Sooo, we dress a statue in a tank top and take a photo. Voilà!}

 {Vive la France}

 {Daedalus and Ikarus by Charles Paul Landon}

 {Seated Male Nude (Self-Portrait) by Egon Schiele}

 {Albrecht Dürer}

 {My favourite picture. Let me tell you, it's HUGE!}

 {...}

 {Keith Haring}

 {It really is unfocused.}

 {Andy Warhol}

I think there is, maybe, one post about Vienna left. Although it will be a scheduled one since I am out of the country at the moment! Stay tuned!
